Maddie is a licensed clinical social worker. She graduated in May 2020 with her Masters of social work with a specialization in behavioral health from the University of Houston. Her bachelor’s degree is in Public Health with a minor in sociology. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families who have experienced various traumas. She has experience working within the school system, behavioral health hospitals, and juvenile probation. She focuses on healing brains through building genuine connections and relationships. She does not only focus on interpersonal challenges, but includes the person’s environment when making clinical impressions. When assessing individuals, Maddie does not choose between nature vs nurture, but marries the two in order to completely understand her client and what has led them to seek change in their lives. Maddie is open to working with all populations, but the majority of her clinical experience is with young teens that have behavioral challenges. Maddie includes the whole family when working with children, because she believes that everyone plays an important part in a child’s healing. Maddie enjoys making sessions fun and believes the best change work happens when you are in a safe and social environment.
