Kori is a dedicated advocate for healing and personal growth, holding a license as a Professional Counseling Associate in the state of Texas. She earned a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Houston. With an extensive background spanning over 7 years as a public-school educator, Kori uncovered a profound passion and calling to support individuals in their journey towards ultimate healing.

During her tenure as an educator, Kori cultivated meaningful relationships with students who had encountered trauma and loss. Drawing from her own experiences of overcoming familial heartache, she deeply comprehends the importance of being acknowledged and understood. As a therapist, Kori places a high priority on you, recognizing the unique nature of your experiences. She firmly believes in the imperative role a secure therapeutic relationship plays in the healing process, committing to providing collaboration, compassion, respect, and authenticity.

Kori’s therapeutic approach integrates researched and integrative techniques tailored to align with your specific goals. Specializing in assisting teens, young adults, women, Gottman Method Therapy, and couples navigating life’s transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, she also offers faith-based Christian counseling for those who seek it. Kori considers it a privilege to walk alongside others in their journey toward healing, insight, goal achievement, and personal growth.

Irrespective of life stage or challenge, Kori is steadfast in her belief that everyone can lead healthy lives — mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. Her overarching goal is to establish an environment that nurtures healing, freedom, and wholeness for her clients.

Outside of her counseling practice, Kori treasures moments with her husband and their two children. She finds joy in connecting with family and friends, immersing herself in literature, and the art of crocheting.
