Lauren is a compassionate professional dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling degree from the Houston Graduate School of Theology. Having spent her formative years in Denton, Texas, Lauren has called the Houston area home throughout her adult life.

With a career in counseling that commenced in 2015, Lauren has gained invaluable experience working with a diverse range of clients, from adults to teens and children. Her professional journey has unfolded in various settings, including court-ordered counseling, teen substance abuse centers, churches, non-profit health centers, and private practice.

Drawing from personal experience, Lauren understands the complexities that children face, especially in the midst of family challenges like divorce. She intimately knows the inclination to bury emotions and navigate them alone, which can be an overwhelming burden for a child. Lauren’s passion lies in imparting the invaluable lesson that emotional weights are lighter when shared and worked through together. She firmly believes that children, often grappling with adult-sized struggles, should not bear them alone.

In her therapeutic practice, Lauren employs a range of approaches tailored to the unique needs of children and their families. These include Theraplay, a method that strengthens attachment through play, Child Centered Play Therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems. It is both an honor and a privilege for Lauren to accompany children and their families on a journey into their inner worlds, guiding them through the shadows to discover hope, light, and ultimately, healing.
