Sarah believes that everyone has the ability to grow, heal, and live a better life. She knows that building a strong and trusting relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. Sarah works hard to create a safe and caring space where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings—even the ones that are hard to talk about.
She works with both teens and adults, understanding that each stage of life brings its own challenges. For teens, she provides support through the ups and downs of growing up, including struggles with identity, relationships, school stress, and emotional regulation. With adults, she helps navigate issues like anxiety, past trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
Sarah helps her clients better understand themselves and the reasons behind their thoughts, feelings, and actions. By talking through life experiences and exploring how the past may be affecting the present, she supports her clients in finding new ways to cope, make changes, and move forward. She uses a mix of approaches, including human connection, understanding emotions, and practical tools to help each person in the way that works best for them.
Sarah completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in College Administration. After nearly 30 years in college student services, she decided to pursue her passion for helping people on a deeper level and earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas.
